Sarah told me today that last night after everyone went to sleep she was still awake. From the hallway of her open door came the voice of a girl calling, "Daddy?"
She thought that it might have been one of her sisters awake and trying to wake me up. But she had a clear view of the hallway, and there was no one standing there.

Hi Ed, My husband is yankeedag from the Mr Beer site. He told me about your haunted house and as I am interested in these things I have looked at your site and listened to the recordings. You say you had the house built in 2004 and I was wondering if you have ever done a search at your local library about the land you have built your house on. It could be that whoever is haunting you was at one time attached to your land either by a building that once stood there or and I hate to say it by burial there. Did you buy any antique furniture when you moved into the house? A spirit can also come with the furniture as it could have been something they were attached to when still alive. Just something to think about. I had some pretty interesting things happen to me when I lived in Australia and I do believe there are spirits that watch over us. It would seem that whoever is "haunting" you is not evil in any way. ~ Jen
The house was built on farmland. It was the last remaining parcel of the family that actually lives next door to us. No buildings were ever constructed on the land, though confederate and union forces did march through here.
A little girl burned to death in a barn fire back in the late 1800's several houses down. My theory is that my daughters attracted her here.
As far as furniture, we did acquire some pieces, but long after the "activity" started.
I agree with you that the spirit is not malevolent. Most of the evidence that I've capture in this house points to a little girl.
